Michael
is a results-oriented marketing and sales professional with over 20
years of executive level marketing, strategic planning, advertising
and promotion expertise. He has in-depth management experience at
start-ups and established corporations
Michael
has spent the past seven years in the Internet arena leveraging his
marketing and business development skills toward building highly
creative new revenue generating sales programs.
Most
recently he was head of Marketing & Business Development at
Media Market Makers, the Web’s first open marketplace for the
planning, buying and selling of Internet advertising that included
results-based solutions. He was a key member of the executive team
that helped develop and refine the concept during the initial
incubation period.
Prior
to Media Market Makers, Michael was Vice President, Director of East
Coast Sales for Hollywood Online, a major online entertainment site.
While in this position, he doubled their annual ad sales by
successfully repositioning HOL to prospective advertisers and
creating a variety of customized solutions to meet their marketing
needs.
Michael
has extensive experience in the advertising agency business; having
spent the majority of his business career in account management at
major advertising agencies working on a wide array of blue-chip
accounts such as Coca-Cola, General Mills, General Motors, Nabisco,
Johnson & Johnson, Gillette, Norwegian America Line etc.
He
also directed the new business activities for McCann-Erickson's New
York office. During this period, the agency gained over $150 million
in new business and was voted “Ad Agency of the Year” by Ad Age.
As
an entrepreneur Michael created and managed a new company from the
"ground up" that manufactured and sold unique gift items.
He worked with product inventors, negotiated with suppliers,
designed packaging, assembled a direct selling force and spearheaded
the marketing and public relations campaign.
