Dr.
Lucas has been involved in the design of leading edge computer
systems for the past four decades.
He began his career working for the Chrysler Corporation
while only a teenager, as a Systems Analyst, in NASA Manned Space flight
projects (Chrysler Corporation builds the Saturn Rocket Boosters).
At the age of 19, he earned a Medical degree from UCLA.
After working in medical research at the Oklahoma Medical
Research facility in Oklahoma City for only a few years, he was
lured back to the open-ended challenge of the vast world of
computers.
In
1963, under the direction of Dr. Lucas, computer, video, and
instructional systems were designed and installed at State
University of New York (at the time, the largest University System
in the World). During
the completion of his Ph.D. in Theoretical Mathematics (Topology),
he taught computer science and logic engineering at SUNY, Albany,
and R.P.I. Among Dr.
Lucas' accomplishments are more than half a dozen patents in
communications hardware systems currently used in Manned Space flight
programs and other Industrial applications.
Dr.
Lucas founded Data Communication Corporation in 1965.
DCC became the largest producer of Credit Cards in the World,
(manufacturing and encoding 87% of the credit cards in existence.) DCC became a Public Corporation and was sold to TRW Credit
after 12 years of operation.
Dr.
Lucas founded Anthropomorphological Systems Inc. in 1977.
Using Multi-Dimensional Database Technologies, ASI became the
largest supplier of Fund Raising Software for the Televangelist
Market, from their Tulsa Oklahoma Base.
ASI was purchased by Direct Marketing Group (NYC) in 1984.
Dr.
Lucas is currently Director of Constituency Systems Design for DOX
Inc., a member of a
virtual company DOXGROUP, where Dr. Lucas continues to provide
non-linear analytical business technology consulting to various
clients, typically on a project
basis.
